Brandon Juhans is a Durham, North Carolina-based producer who draws from hip-hop, punk and post-punk, film scores, and experimental music to craft an otherworldly pastiche of ominous atmospheres, lurching grooves, and vividly twisted samples. He has released music using the monikers madbearHANZ and HANZ, including several releases on Tri Angle Records (Reducer - 2014/2015, Plasty I & Plasty II - 2018), and has had mixes featured in publications such as FACT Magazine and Self-Titled Magazine. On September 25th, 2020, Juhans released Essential Dread, his debut album under his given name, on his own Plasty ltd label. The followup In Scribble arrived on January 9th, 2023.
