Upright bassist Bruce Henry was born in the US and has lived most of his life in Brazil. He used to own an inn ("Pousada Estalagem") in the town of Buzios - Rio de Janeiro state - back in the mid 90's. Bruce used to host a jazz jam session over the weekends and different influential Brazilan musicians joined him (a particular one that I attended was with Serginho Trombone). The last I heard of him was on TV a few years ago, during an interview with Brazilian singer Fafa de Belem; Bruce was her bassist at that point. Bruce Henry was also the leading musician and main responsible for the release of "Mailbag Blues", the Ronnie Biggs' Story, a recording made in 1974.
