HOT STOVE JIMMY Hot Stove Jimmy formed in the early 90s ska movement and released their second cd Salute in 1996. This is perhaps their best release and it was pumped out only a year after their 1995 release called Take Your Time. Band Website Facebook Twitter RUN AND PUNCH Hailing from Chicago, Run and Punch is a high-energy ska band with pop punk roots. Performing for over a decade, this 6-piece delivers a unique blend of rich vocals, aggressive pop punk hooks, and a brassy horn section with one goal: to get you moving! The group was started by two high school friends that grew up on the south side of Chicago. Both classically trained musicians, they fell in love with the city’s vibrant punk and ska scenes. By 2010 they were looking for their next projects and started writing what would become Run and Punch’s first full length, No Loose Ends. Run and Punch has 6 releases under their belt starting with their debut EP Uppercut in 2011. Although the group has seen multiple lineup changes during their run, founding members Chris Curtis (Trumpet) and Anthony Johnson (Bass) have cultivated a consistent musical identity. Throughout each iteration Run and Punch has always featured a dynamic vocalist and punchy brass section, and delivered a playful pop punk foundation via the rhythm section. Band Website Spotify Facebook Instagram Twitter BURN REBUILD Burn Rebuild is a punk rock band from Chicago started by guitarist Brian Hampson and lead singer/bassist, Franky Tsoukalas. In 2013, the guys started up to relieve the stress of college while they both pursued degrees in their 30’s at UIC. The main goal of the band is to play and write as much as adult life allows. Though the band has had many…many member changes, all members that have come and gone in Burn Rebuild have always been friends of the band. Now with a solidified lineup and their EP Losing Grip, the guys are looking to bring their take on punk to the streets of Chicago. They’re not touring. They have kids and dogs and shit…and it probably just isn’t in the cards. Since 1993, his label JUMP UP RECORDS (www.jumpuprecords.com ) has released 200+ albums including local faves The Operators, The Crombies, Deal’s Gone Bad, The Drastics, and Green Room Rockers plus legacy US acts The Toasters, The Pietasters, Chris Murray, Mephiskapheles, New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, and top international bands Lollypop Lorry, Dr Ring Ding, The Magnetics, Out of Control Army and Los Fastidios. “Ska night with DJ Chuck Wren” (last Thursday of the month) has been a institution at Delilah’s for 31 years.
